How to Filter Date in Mobile App

Let’s take a look on how to filter date in mobile.

Goal:
To guide users on how to apply various types of date filters when using the Inistate mobile app.

Description:
The mobile app allows filtering entries based on date using options like between, within, after, before, in, past, and blank. This guide explains each type and how to use them effectively.

Steps:

Filter Date in a range, choose β€œbetween”

The steps:

  1. Open a workspace.

  1. Select any module that contain entry.

  1. Click Filter

  1. Click the dropdown list.

  1. Select β€œDate ” and β€œbetween ” in the filter.

  1. Choose start date and end date.

  1. Click β€œSearch” and it is filtered.

  1. The result will show Date between the start date and end date (include start date and end date).


Filter Date within year / month / week / day, choose β€œwithin”

Year

You can choose this year / last year / next year .

  1. Select β€œDate ” and β€œwithin ” in the filter. After that, select β€œyear ” and β€œthis year ” in the filter.

  1. Click β€œSearch” and it is filtered.

Month

You can choose this month / last month / previous month / next month .

  1. Select β€œDate ” and β€œwithin ” in the filter. After that, select β€œmonth ” and β€œthis month ” in the filter.

  1. Click β€œSearch” and it is filtered.

this month, last month, previous month and next month. All the entry is empty because got no entry within the time.


Week

You can choose this week / last week / previous week / next week.

  1. Select β€œDate” and β€œwithin ” in the filter. After that, select β€œweek ” and β€œthis week ” in the filter.

  1. Click β€œSearch” and it is filtered.

last week, previous week, and next week. All the entry is empty because got no entry within the time.


Day

You can choose today / yesterday / previous day / tomorrow / next day to filter.

  1. Select β€œDate” and β€œwithin ” in the filter. After that, select β€œday ” and β€œtoday ” in the filter.

  1. Click β€œSearch” and it is filtered.

today

yesterday, previous day entry. The entry is empty because got no entry within the time.

tomorrow

next day entry. The entry is empty because got no entry within the time.


Filter Date after a date, choose β€œafter”

1.Select β€œDate” and β€œafter” in the filter.

  1. Enter the date. Click β€œOK”. It is filtered.

  1. Only show date after selected date (include the selected date)


Filter Date before a date, choose β€œbefore”

1.Select β€œDate” and β€œbefore” in the filter.

  1. Enter the date. Click β€œOK”. It is filtered.

3.Only show date before selected date (include the selected date)


Filter Date before a date, choose β€œbefore”

1.Select β€œDate” and β€œin” in the filter. After that, enter a β€œnumber” and select β€œday”.

  1. Click β€œSearch”. It is filtered.

Filter Date past a date, choose β€œpast”

1.Select β€œDate” and β€œpast” in the filter. After that, enter a β€œnumber” and select β€œday”.

Filter when there is no Date, choose β€œblank”. Then click β€œSearch”.

The result of blank date is empty.
