Activity in a module is a list of activities that the end-users can do for particular entries in a workflow or business process. It gives a clear indication to the users on what is next steps and what follows after.
For example, in a Leave Application module, these are the activities that can be defined:
- Submit
- Approve
- Reject
- Process
An activity usually uses an active voice, and it will then appear as a button in the software designed.
Besides, each of the activities may be done by different roles such as Approve and Reject may be done by Manager, whereas Process may be carried out by Human Resource department.
Create, Edit, View, Delete, Change State, Duplicate, Assign are standard actions built-in with every Inistate module and can be skipped by the users.
